The 2nd Great SDA Bake Off kicks off on October 23rd\, and you’re invited to put on your oven gloves and batter the competition!!! \nRSVP to enter your Alice in Wonderland inspired Cake. \nThis year we have two categories: The Everything Goes and The Free From.  “The Everything Goes” category will be a cakes made with the usual ingredients\, while the Free From  – A Stand Alone Food Mixer!!!! \nAll entries will then be sold to spectators to raise plenty of funds for ADRA. \nThe Advent Centre (37 Brendon St) is our meeting spot for an afternoon of food and sweet things galore! \nDon’t worry if you can’t boil water\, because you’ll be able to taste the amazing entries\, and have your taste buds tantalized by  the Mauritian Cuisine that will all be sold on the day! \nAll this in aid of ADRA. SUMMARY:I'm Having Sex -the Play
DESCRIPTION:I’m Having Sex is Final Call Production’s theatrical response to the many high-profile sexual abuse cases that are being brought to public attention by the media. \n\n\nOn the surface\, this is a story about an average family\, but they harbour more than a few dark secrets. As their dysfunctional relationships come to light\, father Valentine\, mother Rebecca and daughter Trudy-Ann are brought to the edge of heartbreak\, forgiveness and redemption. \nWe use this play as a resource to raise awareness on serious issues and to explore Christ-centred solutions. The play touches on topics such as sexual abuse\, underage sex\, infidelity\, blended families\, marital issues\, trust\, raising teenagers\, gang-related activity\, peer pressure\, promiscuity and teenage parents. \n\nQ&A SESSION The play includes a hot seating session where audience members have the opportunity to ask the actors questions while they remain in character. The audience can discuss issues raised and offer advice on topics that negatively affect families and young people in our churches and in our society. This does not have to be the case!  There is a move of the Holy Spirit that has swept across UK and the world for people to re-engage in community prayer in a fun\, passionate and intentional way.\n\nWe all know the importance of our personal prayer lives\, but sometimes forget the blessings\, encouragement and breakthrough that can come in community prayer. \nWhen the community comes together in worship and prayer\, there is an encounter with God that takes place\, that advances the Kingdom in our own heart and in the life of the community! Let’s come together and stand in the gap for each other\, our community\, our nation and for the lost of this world.
