DESCRIPTION:THE PURPOSE: Exploring practical principles to experience marital harmony \nThis is an opportunity for couples to spend quality time together\, learning how to: \n\nunderstand key influences on the way we connect\nremain engaged in spite of conflict and disagreements\nexperience freedom through courage and vulnerability\ndevelop intimate trust though sensitive responsiveness and emotional availability\nappreciate the connection between an intimate marriage and deep spirituality\n\nWe regret that we cannot provide care for your children during the weekend. \nTHE PRESENTERS: Leslie & Irma Ackie  \nPastor Les Ackie is the South England Conference Family Ministries Director and has worked in pastoral ministry for twenty years. During this time he and his wife Irma have developed a keen interest in family ministries. They graduated together as Certified Family Life Educators in 2007\, and have enjoyed many opportunities to present workshops and seminars on marriage in the UK and abroad. \nTHE VENUE:  \nDenham Grove\, Tilehouse Lane\, Denham\, Bucks\, UB9 5DG. \nWebsite: www.deverevenues.co.uk/en/venues/wokefield-park \nDuring the weekend there will be ample opportunity to make use of the hotel facilities\, which include an indoor pool\, gym\, and sauna. \nTHE COST: \nThe total subsidised cost for full board and materials is £250 per couple; however\, you can save money by booking early! Early bookers will also have the option of paying in instalments; please check the application form for details. Payment must be received by the corresponding deadline date(s). You can also contact your local church for help with the cost. \nThe SEC incurs cancellation fees on an incremental scale in relation to the date of the event if couples withdraw having secured places. It may be necessary to pass those charges on if we are unable to fill vacated places.
